Ex-6 Setup
For ReMi experiments:

1. Open the program "Ex-6"

2. Set parameters

File> Load Confinguration

Select file "Ex6ReMIV1". Click "Open"

To double check the parameters: Setup> Acquistion

The configuration parameters for a ReMi study should look like this:

Sample rate: 2ms

Stack count: 1

Preamp Gain: 24 db

Auto Arm: Off

Auto Save: On

Inc File After Save: On

Record Length: 32.00 sec

Trigger at any box: On

Trigger Sensitivity: Low

Hammer Switch: On

Pretrigger: Off

Compress Data: On

3. Set file directory

File>File name

Name the "filename" at the top, make sure it is named XXXXXX0001 so when you save, it will automatically increase the last digit to XXXXX0002

In the "Drive and Folder", select "Ex6". Then in the space below, type in the new folder name. Then click "create folder". In the "Drive and Folder", click the folder you just created

Then click "Select New Folder" and "Ok"

At very top of the screen you should see the directory with the file name that ends with XXXXX0001 that you just created. If not, go back and check

4.Operate> Scan Spread

This will make sure there are 4 boxes (2 data logger and 2 batteries). Then click "OK" to apply the setting

If this show just only 2 or 0, go back and check the connection.

5.Test> Geophone resistance Click "test"

To make sure there are 24 operational geophones, you should see 24 bars of the same height. If some bars are not of that height, check the connection of that geophone.

*The program may freeze when you click test. Just close the program and start again. If you try more than 3 times, make a note and skip this step.

7. File> Save

Make sure to do this step, so the file will save and automatically the last digit of the filename will increase by 1

8. Repeat Step 6 till you have more than 8 records
